Sindh Launches People’s Bus Service Between Sukkur and Shikarpur

The Sindh government has introduced a new People’s Bus Service connecting Sukkur and Shikarpur, aiming to improve travel facilities for daily commuters. The service was inaugurated by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who described it as a step towards better and more affordable transport in the region.

What makes this service different is the fare structure. The government will pay half of the fare, while passengers will only cover the remaining amount, making travel significantly cheaper for the public. This is expected to benefit workers, students, and regular travelers on this route.

Officials say this initiative is part of a broader plan to improve public transport and provide relief amid rising costs. Along with transport, the government is also working on other welfare projects like subsidies, solar schemes, and support for farmers — all aimed at easing the financial burden on citizens.
